SUSTAINABILITY

Fonderia Vigevanese has always been focused on respecting the environment, aiming to go beyond the constraints imposed by current national regulations (Integrated Environmental Authorization). This has led Fonderia Vigevanese over the years to always seek new solutions to control atmospheric emissions, recycle forming materials, and reuse the material produced from processing waste.

Until today, the main goal pursued has been to optimize production efficiency. However, nowadays the issue of environmental sustainability has become of pressing global concern. Therefore, in 2021, Fonderia Vigevanese launched a strategic project to reduce its environmental footprint, starting with the reduction of CO2 emissions.

During 2022, we introduced an environmental accounting system and continue to improve it.
During 2022, we commissioned an analysis of Fonderia Vigevanese's Corporate and Product Carbon Footprint. From the results obtained, Fonderia Vigevanese could join the “Made Green in Italy” project launched by the Italian government, in 2018 (Art. 21, Paragraph 1 of Law No. 221/2015).

Many of the investments made and underway are also linked to direct emissions reduction targets.

Fonderia Vigevanese will also proceed with the installation of a photovoltaic system with which it will be able to achieve 15 percent green energy starting in 2025.

The first low-carbon “Green” casting production project will be carried out in cooperation with ZF WIND POWER during 2025.
